Description of Duties:

Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes and reporting methods for visits. 

Demonstrate regularly using accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment. 

Demonstrate ability for interpreting wiring diagrams and control schematics. 

Must have recent and current experience with in two (2) years unless designated below. 

Ability to utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files and transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance as required and label them for report purposes. 

Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally. 

Demonstrate an ability to interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics and plans and the ability as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to troubleshoot, analyze and provide distance support for listed equipment. 

Previous trouble shooting experience.  

Formal instructor experience. . 

Detailed experience with ship’s air conditioning, refrigeration, all types of air compressors and electronic cooling water systems should be detailed in the resumes. 

Assist with the preparation and adjudication of Departures From Specifications (DFS) and Engineering Support Requests (ESRs), and review of Work Items and Process Control Procedures (PCPs) when required.    

Be familiar with ILS-LOGICOM, TAAS-Info and Fleet Scheduling Center (FSC). 

Train ship’s force personnel during the assistance or assessment visits 

Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of shipboard air conditioning, refrigeration, high pressure and low pressure air compressors, bleed air valves, combat dry air system, electronic cooling water systems, and Sonar Dome Pressurization System.  

At least five (5) years specialized hands-on experience, demonstrating an in depth knowledge of shipboard electrical control systems and electrical controls troubleshooting pertaining to air conditioning controls and associated electrical equipment, refrigeration system controls, air compressor controllers, complete knowledge of the mechanical and electrical operations of MRG dehumidifiers, able to troubleshoot SDPS DEPI gauges, and programmable logic controllers on applicable 252 equipment listed above.          

Special Requirements:

High School/GED 

CPR Certification from a nationally accepted organization 

Ability to utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
