Description of Duties:

Phoenix Group is seeking qualified personnel with US Navy USCG shipboard experience with installed firefighting

systems, CBR, and ventilation systems to support Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center in conducting shipboard


Working knowledge of Navy Assessment programs, inspections, visit processes and reporting methods for visits

Able to use accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment

Able to interpret ship’s drawings, wiring diagrams and control schematics

Able to use computers and MS Office Suite, able to transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance

and label them

Able to interact and support other teams

Able to communicate orally and in writing

Provide assessment support to various MARMC for various shipboard assessments and technical assistance for

installed firefighting, magazine sprinkler systems, CBD, CPS, etc.

Completed Minimum of 8 years general experience with the systems and general damage control equipment

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of ChemBio Defense and ventilation

relates systems including, but not limited to, Collective Protection System (CPS), Improved Point Detection

System (IPDS), Detection Field Unit (DFU), vent dampers, airflow and refrigerant monitors, and other ventilation

related systems and controls.

Minimum of 2 years supporting assessments of CBD equipment

Completed training for the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) system desired

Minimum 8 years’ experience in the operation, repair, maintenance and assessment, groom and repair of US Naval

Ship doors/hatches/scuttles/hull closures and MAF water tight closures.

Current (within 1 year) hands on experience with water tight closures.

Installed Firefighting systems, on US Naval Ships

Special Requirements:

High School Diploma

Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) system desired
