PEO Logistics Support for Transition (0049-003)

Description of Duties:

Provide Logistics support for PEO CARRIERS PMS 312L in the transitioning of CVN68 to an inactivation status to include validation of on-board systems/equipment and assisting in the disposition of on-board systems/equipment to other In-Service Aircraft Carriers. Assist in the transitioning of CVN78 new construction to an In-Service Carrier and provide logistical support and material maintenance assistance over the life-span of the newly installed systems/equipment.

A minimum of eight years’ experience in the Navy supply field and excellent understanding of the Navy Supply Stock System.

Military Experience:
• Aircraft Carrier maintenance and modernization experience highly desired.
• Shipyard project experience with knowledge of work package development and material ordering.
• Statistical analysis.

Special Requirements:

Education: Associates of Science degree in an engineering, business, or related technical disciplines from an accredited four-year college or university or eight years of hands-on experience in an engineering/supply field.

Specialized Skills:
o Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills.
o Proficiency with remaining Microsoft Office products.
o Proficient in Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA).
o Proficient in the use of Navy Data Environment (NDE).
o Proficient in the use of FLIS databases (i.e. Logiquest, IHS, Haystack, etc.…)
o Excellent communication (oral and written) skills required.
o Excellent leadership, administrative and organizational skills.
o Strong analytical skill.
o Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure, multi-tasking environment.
o Ability to interact comfortably and appropriately with all levels of government, military ranks and civilian equivalents.
o Expert knowledge and experience with industry-standard project management tools, documentation and reporting tools.
o Proficient handling and managing DoD Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
o Knowledge of Naval Shipyard Maintenance management software and databases.
