Join Our Team as a Principal Investigator!
Join Phoenix Group as a Principal Investigator for CXT, where you’ll play a key role in collaborating with Ship’s Force and other organizations to identify and document gaps/issues in equipment layup, unanticipated material requirements, start-up/test procedures, technical training, tools, drawings and other technical documentation during RCOH. Help lead CXT’s mission to provide expert level technical support to CVN crews in RCOH to improve readiness inside and outside of planned work. CXT ensures that Ship’s Force has immediate access to technical assistance to help identify and eliminate schedule risks. CXT engages with each Sailor to provide subject matter expertise aligned within the departmental organizations, aids in system walkthroughs, deck plate level training, and fosters an operational mindset within Ship’s Force.
Key Responsibilities:
Be proactive and perceived by Ship’s Force as part of the crew.
Become a trusted advisor knowledgeable of shipboard systems and operations.
Work with Ship’s Force to help them understand details of current work requirements.
Team with Ship’s Force to anticipate and eliminate potential risks to production.
Help shape CXT’s short-term and long-term objectives that align with the team’s mission.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
20+ years of CVN maintenance and modernization experience highly desired with hands-on experience in shipyard equipment and systems maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, plus 7 years of CVN availability experience.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical area may be substituted for up to 5 years of experience.

Proven expertise in CVN maintenance programs and availabilities.
Expert knowledge and experience with industry-standard project management tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with senior government, military and contractor personnel.
U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a SECRET security clearance.
Ability to pass a background check for NNS shipyard access.
