Your Mission:
As a MAT Leader, you’ll be at the forefront of naval readiness, guiding critical assessments and supporting seamless transitions for ships in and out of maintenance. In this role, you will:
Lead with Authority: Serve as the driving force for the Material Assessment Team (MAT), coordinating efforts both on-site and off-site for the Type Commander (TYCOM).
Shape Outcomes: Plan, execute, and report on Ship’s Force Resources (SFR) Key Support Node (KSN) assessments, ensuring results drive actionable improvements.
Influence Leadership: Deliver high-impact briefings to Ship leadership, TYCOM staff, Maintenance Program Managers, and key stakeholders, ensuring informed decision-making.
Collaborate and Resolve: Actively participate in Knowledge Management Communities of Practice (KMCoP) and key KSN processes to address deficiencies and improve readiness.
Be the Expert: Support ships in achieving smooth transitions between operations and maintenance, ensuring readiness to meet operational demands.
Expand Your Horizons: Represent Phoenix Group at industry-leading events, such as the CT1 Annual Community Meeting and Post Availability Hot Washes, making your voice heard in the naval community.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for a trailblazer with the skills, experience, and drive to lead in this critical role.
Education & Experience:
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline + 5 years of professional experience in CVN availability planning and shipboard assessments.
Option 2: Associate degree in any discipline + 10 years of professional experience in CVN availability planning and shipboard assessments.
Key Attributes:
Proven ability to plan and execute CVN availabilities from a ship’s force perspective.
Exceptional communication skills to brief and influence high-level stakeholders.
A self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision and excels in collaborative environments.
Requirements:
U.S. citizenship (required for the technical content of the work).
Ability to pass a criminal/traffic/credit background check for NNS shipyard access.
