Phoenix Group of Virginia is seeking an exceptional Navy Program Management Analyst and Project Coordinator to join our elite team supporting the Program Executive Office Aircraft Carriers (PEO Carriers). In this pivotal role, you will directly contribute to the successful delivery and seamless transition of the U.S. Navy’s newest Aircraft Carriers from construction to fully mission-ready assets.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Coordination: Facilitate critical interactions among PEO Carriers, Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Newport News (SOSNN), Huntington Ingalls Industries–Newport News Shipbuilding (HII-NNS), Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic (CNAL), and Ship’s Force. Your coordination ensures timely completion of shipboard construction and seamless integration into active service.
Analytical Leadership: Conduct comprehensive analyses of cost, schedule, and performance metrics. Identify potential risks and develop innovative solutions, contributing significantly to informed decision-making by Navy leadership.
Technical Expertise: Prepare detailed technical documents to support new ship construction phases, design changes, modernization integration, and deficiency resolution, ensuring compliance with Navy specifications and standards.
Impactful Reporting: Develop clear, concise briefs and reports for Navy and Program Office leadership, enhancing transparency and enabling decisive action during critical phases of the GERALD R FORD Class acquisition.
Collaboration and Improvement: Actively participate in production, testing, and delivery meetings, providing insights and recommendations to continuously enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, or Management discipline.
Experience: Proven expertise in Navy operational procedures highly desirable; familiarity with aircraft carrier construction, acquisition processes, and transition phases strongly preferred.
Skills:
Strong project management capabilities aligned with PMP best practices.
Exceptional communication skills across diverse military and civilian stakeholders.
Expertise in translating complex industrial activities into Navy-relevant metrics and reports.
Understanding of Navy operations, training, certification, maintenance requirements, and industrial scheduling.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project; experience with Power BI is advantageous.
Security: Eligible for U.S. SECRET clearance; must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
Location & Travel:
Based in Newport News, VA, with telework opportunities coordinated through Phoenix Group and the Navy.
Occasional travel to Washington, D.C. (Navy Yard) approximately 2-3 days per trip, up to 6 trips annually.
